San Fran!

Rich and I headed to San Francisco over President's Day weekend. Let me tell you, it was soooo nice to get away! We thought we were headed to some warmer weather, but instead it was pretty rainy and cold. I'm the type who really cares about the weather and I check my weather app on my phone several times a day hoping that maybe we will finally get some great weather in Utah. It never happens. Anyway, it rained most of the time we were gone, and I actually didn't even care!! Really, shocking. It was soooo much fun, and the weather didn't slow us down. We trudged up those steep hills in the pouring rain. We strategically maneuvered the monopod with our camera chillin underneath the umbrella. Nothing stopped us!

We did the whole touristy stuff...Ghiradelli Square, Fisherman's Warf, Alcatraz, the Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not (biggest waste of money), shopping...It was also the Chinese New Year so we got to see a pretty sweet parade. The food was great too...We ate at the cutest little cottage in Nob Hill. Plus, we stayed at a great hotel in the middle of the city. Love it!! Now I can see why my mom was soooo sad to leave that great city. Cheers!

Christmas and a New Year's Eve Wedding

Christmas was great this year. It was the first time I wasn't at home in Virginia, but I had a great time in Utah with Rich's family. Here are a few pre Christmas festivities...we watched the Utah vs. Boise State game (horrible game by the way) with a few friends. Rich and I went to go see the temple lights and I was able to take several pictures using my awesome monopod.

On Christmas Day we opened up presents in our living room...just Rich and I. My mom mailed us lots of presents...thanks Mom! After that we spent the day with Rich's family. Here are a few pics of us opening presents, and here is the aftermath...

After Christmas I flew home to Virginia for Sammy and Lee's wedding. Rich couldn't come because he has a new job and didn't get any time off! Lame. So, Kim, Chris, Smellie and I headed up to DC for the day. Mel was my girlfriend for the day.

On New Year's Eve, Sam and Lee got married! Woot woot! It was a beautiful day, and I'm so happy for them!!

What we've been up to...

It's been super busy lately, but life is great! We just had Thanksgiving with Rich's family, and Kim, Mellie, and Chris Potter joined us. Too bad I don't have any pictures of that...but it was a great time!

It's been snowing like crazzzzzy lately, and Mellie stayed with us for the long weekend. Mel brought out the college kid in me, and we went sledding one night. We didn't have any sleds, so we resorted to tupperware lids! And...they didn't work. At all. Seriously, we went about 5 feet down the hill. But hey, it's all about the experience, right?

Oh yeah, and Rich and I went to a Jazz game this past week.  It was a great game...they played the New Orleans...crap, forgot the mascot. Anyway, the Jazz won, and boy, do I love 8th row seats!! Make my day!
